Saint Agnes Parish began in 1967, and the present church was
dedicated in 1969. The parish now includes about 1250 families and
three grade schools. We have many active organizations that support
the parish infrastructure, our liturgical celebrations, the needs of
parishioners', the community and the poor. Follow the links above
to learn about these activities and special program
initiatives.
Other links lead to a more complete parish history, the background
of our patron Saint Agnes, the
Pallottine Fathers, who serve as our
priests, and St. Vincent Pallotti, the founder of the Pallotine
Order. St. Vincent Pallotti was dedicated to integration of the
laity into the life of the Church, long before the Second Vatican
Council stressed active involvement by all members in the
mission of the church.
Some Regular Activities

[parish]
Over the years St. Agnes has
developed some traditions. The 9:00 Sunday Mass provides Sunday school for children ages 3 to 7.
Twice a month, our Children's Choir leads the congregation in song.
The 11:00 Mass features a traditional "sanctuary choir" with organ. There
are "coffee Sunday's" when everyone is invited to chat
after Mass in the parish hall, downstairs from the church, offered
throughout the year to encourage friendship and community spirit
(and drink coffee). The last
Sunday of each month is "Vincent de Paul Sunday" when
everyone is urged to bring food, other items, or a donation for the
poor. We have annual and seasonal special events, as well as many
regular programs. Follow the
link for current
events.
The Catholic Women's League
sponsors a lending library after Mass every Sunday; it includes videos and books for children
& their parents. Other
material is available in our Communication Centre, and an informative weekly bulletin is
handed out after Mass (September through June). Bulletin boards contain additional
information. New parishioners are invited to register with the
parish using the forms provided in the Vestibule. Boxes of spare
collection envelopes
are also available there.
There are special prayer and
spiritual opportunities. A prayer group meets every
Tuesday from 1:30-2:30. Another prayer group that focuses on vocations meets
Tuesday evenings at 8:00pm. The first Friday of each month includes a
holy hour and prayer for vocations at the 7:15pm Mass. The rosary is
recited before the 5:00 Mass on Saturdays. We have annual and seasonal special events, too.

spiritual and service opportunities. The parish includes many organizations
that carry out important social or service functions and provide
fellowship to their members. One or more of these might interest
you. If you want to know more, call
