Welcome.
On
behalf of the people of Saint Agnes and the Pallotine Fathers, I would
like to welcome you to our community. I hope that the next time you are in
the church you will come up and introduce yourself to me. When I see a new
face in the congregation, I try to find the person after Mass and say
hello. Sometimes I take too long getting to the door, and sometimes I get
sidetracked. If I haven't found you yet, please find me.
Each new member of our parish contributes to the growth and vitality of
the community. New parishoners are encouraged to make St. Agnes a place
for celebration on Sundays and other days of the week. We offer you faith
sharing groups, community support groups, sports, education programs,
social justice initiatives, special celebrations and much more. The web
site contains many details about what goes on at St. Agnes and how you can
get involved. Our staff can help you with inquiries regarding sacraments,
Mass intentions, envelopes, or anything else.
It is a custom in many countries and with many families to invite a priest
to bless a new home. If you would like this to be part of your family
tradition, please contact me. A blessing can make a beautiful beginning in
your new neighbourhood. It also gives me an opportunity to welcome you in
person.
I hope you will join us often for prayer and fellowship. I look forward to
getting to know you. If I can help you in any way, please call the office
during the week at 885-4480 or stop in after Mass on Saturday evening
(5pm) or Sunday (9am, 11am or 7:00 p.m.). I hope to see you soon.
Yours in Christ,
Father Peter
Machnacki, S.A.C.
